Suyama Space provides opportunities for experimentation, inspiration, and education in contemporary art. Our goal is to serve as a catalyst in the creation of significant new works as well as collaborate with the art community to expand public interest and understanding of contemporary art.

Exhibitions are organized by curator Beth Sellars to showcase a full spectrum of established artists of regional, national, and international stature. Of special interest are artists who demonstrate an innovative style and vision combined with an awareness of social, cultural, and political issues. All programming is made in partnership with Space.City. Funding support has come in part through grants from the Allen Foundation for the Arts, Washington State Arts Commission, King County Arts Commission, and generous foundation and patron contributions.
