George Suyama, FAIA, architect and partner at Suyama Peterson Deguchi received his Bachelor of Architecture degree from the University of Washington. Before founding George Suyama Architects in 1971 he was associated with Northwest Modern masters Ralph Anderson and Gene Zema. The firm's award winning projects appear in international publications including La Casa Mia, Katei-Gaho, Architectural Digest and Architectural Record. Suyama's extensive involvement in the arts community includes terms as a board member for the Henry Art Gallery and On the Boards as well as the Seattle Arts Commission.

Ric Peterson, AIA, architect and partner at Suyama Peterson Deguchi received his Bachelor of Architecture and Architectural Science Studies degrees from Washington State University. Associated with George Suyama Architects since 1979 he became a partner in 1983. Peterson's work includes single-family and multi-family residential projects as well as commercial projects. He served as chair for the AIA Housing Task Force and on the King County Parks Citizen Advisory Board.

Jay Deguchi architect and partner at Suyama Peterson Deguchi received his Bachelor of Architecture degree from the University of Washington and his Masters of Architecture from the University of California, Los Angeles. While at UCLA he spent a year studying in Kyoto, Japan. Deguchi worked in the offices of Franklin D. Israel and Konig-Eisenberg in Los Angeles before joining Suyama Architects in 1992. He became a partner in 2002.
